LORENZA 'BEE' BERTO
Founder of ONE.ON.ONE | Dance Coach | Choreographer | Dance Educator
Lorenza “Bee” Berto is an internationally trained Italian dancer, choreographer, dance educator and coach with over ten years of experience in teaching, mentoring and developing dancers of different ages, levels and backgrounds. Her work combines strong technical foundations with an individual approach to movement, learning and personal development.
Growing up near Venice, Italy, Lorenza received her classical ballet education at AIDA under M. Caprara and F. Olivieri from Teatro alla Scala. She later continued her classical and contemporary training at American Ballet Theatre in New York, where she also studied the ABT National Training Curriculum developed specifically for ballet educators, and at Edge Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles. Her education in urban dance styles including Hip-Hop, Dancehall and House brought her to Debbie Reynolds Studio and Millennium Dance Complex in Los Angeles.
As a professional dancer, Lorenza performed as a ballet soloist with Veneto Balletto under Mariolina Giaretta in Italy and as a classical and contemporary dancer with Ajkun Ballet Theatre under Leonard Ajkun and Ellen Sinopoli in New York. Her professional experience later expanded across different dance styles and productions. She choreographed performances for internationally renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli at Hallenstadion Zürich and performed and created work for major Swiss platforms and events, including Swiss Radio and Television (SRF) and Radio Energy events at Hallenstadion Zürich.
For more than ten years, Lorenza has worked with children, teenagers and adults as a dance educator and coach. During the past five years, she has also specialised in teaching very young children from 18 months of age, supporting their motor, musical and personal development through movement. Alongside her teaching, she develops structured ballet curricula and educational programmes for dance schools and has served as a jury member for international dance examinations, including alongside F. Olivieri from Teatro alla Scala.
Throughout her teaching career, Lorenza has prepared dancers for auditions, professional training programmes and stage opportunities. Dancers she has coached have been accepted into institutions including the International Dance Academy in Los Angeles and Copenhagen, Tanz Akademie Zürich, Danceworks Berlin and Musical Factory Luzern, while others have gone on to perform professionally with Disney, SRF, Art on Ice and other important productions.
Today, alongside her work through ONE.ON.ONE, Lorenza is
Co-Managing Director of Tanzschule Steinhausen GmbH, where she teaches, develops educational concepts and contributes to the artistic, pedagogical and organisational development of the school.
After more than ten years of collaboration with the Tanzschule Steinhausen community, she continues to combine her experience as a dancer, educator and leader with her commitment to high-quality dance education and the individual development of every dancer she works with.

MY TEACHING VALUES
For me, dance education goes beyond technique and performance. I believe that every dancer brings a different body, personality, background, way of learning and set of experiences into the studio - and that meaningful training should recognise those differences.
My teaching combines discipline, consistency and technical understanding with trust, body awareness and individual guidance. I pay close attention to how each dancer processes information, responds to corrections and understands movement, adapting my communication and approach accordingly.
I believe in creating an environment where dancers can be challenged without losing the confidence to explore, ask questions and make mistakes. Discipline and high expectations are an important part of my work, but so are respect, communication and understanding the person behind the dancer.
My aim is to help dancers become not only stronger and more capable, but also more aware of themselves, their potential and the way they learn.
THE HEART BEHIND ONE.ON.ONE
Founder of ONE.ON.ONE | Dance Coach | Choreographer | Dance Educator
ONE.ON.ONE was born from the belief that every dancer is different. Every dancer has a unique body, with different strengths and challenges. The way you approach something new is personal to you. Even the way you learn, understand and apply corrections is shaped by your individual experiences and background.
My desire to build a deeper connection with my students led me to closely observe the different ways in which they perceive information, understand movement and respond to corrections. Over the years, I have developed specific methods of communication and personalised approaches to movement, with the aim of building strong technique and body awareness efficiently and sustainably.
My approach combines technical knowledge, creativity and discipline with empathy and a genuine commitment to understanding you as a dancer and helping you recognise your own potential.
Whether you want to improve your technique, develop strength and flexibility, prepare for an audition, reconnect with movement or simply experience dance in a more personal way, my intention is to guide you with focused attention, honest feedback and supportive coaching throughout the process.
Tell me who you are, what you need and where you want to go.
From there, I will create an approach specifically for you and your journey - considering your body, your way of learning, your strengths, your challenges and your ambitions.
ONE.ON.ONE is about training that responds to your goals, respects your individuality and develops alongside you.
